As we settle into the back half of another stout season, there are lots of new releases and customer favorites to get your hands on before the mild weather returns. Check out these six SouthCoast stouts that are available right now!

Moby Dick Brewing Co.

Silmo Coffee Milk Stout

Moby Dick Brewing Co., Silmo Packaging Co. | Facebook

Moby Dick Brewing Co. has teamed up with Silmo Syrup to release a new seasonal offering, Silmo Coffee Milk Stout. Checking in at 5.2% ABV, this easy-drinking stout was brewed with Silmo Coffee Syrup and will remind you of a nice cold glass of coffee milk. The beer collaboration is being celebrated with a release party on Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 5-8 p.m. at Moby Dick Brewing. Head over to sample the beer, taste some of Silmo’s coffee and other flavored syrups, and support two tasty New Bedford small businesses. If you miss out on the release party, don’t worry! This beer will be on tap at the brewpub and select draft accounts throughout the area, including part of the 15th Annual Beer Summit at Rose Alley Ale House.

Berkley Beer Co.

White Chocolate Stout & Orange Creamsicle Stout

Berkley Beer Co., Jeffery Amaral | Facebook

Just a quick ride up 140 North, Taunton’s Berkley Beer Co. is currently pouring not one, but TWO mind-blowing stouts. An absolute fan-favorite, the White Chocolate Stout is a true one-of-a-kind. While many other “white” or golden stouts have a golden, ale-like appearance, this stout fills your glass like a vanilla milkshake! This taproom-exclusive beer doesn’t last long, so you’ll need to get to the brewery soon before it’s gone. Act quickly enough and try it alongside the Creamsicle Stout. Just as you’d imagine, it’s another white stout with plenty of orange that gives it the surreal appearance (and taste!) of a melted creamsicle in your glass.

Buzzards Bay Brewing

Quacker Oat Stout

We all know you shouldn’t judge a beer by its label, but Buzzards Bay Brewing’s Quacker Oat Stout is an eye-catcher featuring nothing but a cute little duck. Of course, once you open the can, things only get better as you pour the roasty dark liquid into your glass. This oat stout boasts a nice, rich mouthfeel plus all those lovely characteristics of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and graham cracker.

Canned Heat Craft Beer Co.

Gregg’s Death by Chocolate Imperial Stout

Canned Heat Craft Beer | Facebook

Our final two stops take us to Fall River and feature the biggest beers on this list. Our first is another collaboration, this time between Canned Heat Craft Beer and Gregg’s Restaurants. Gregg’s Death by Chocolate Imperial Chocolate Stout clocks in at 8% ABV and seriously smells like the iconic chocolate cake. You can get this on draft at the taproom and grab some cans while you’re there or find it stocked at select liquor stores.

Troy City Brewing

Year 5 Imperial Stout with Coffee Espresso

Troy City Brewing | Facebook

Finally, we travel less than half a mile up the road to Troy City Brewing to (hopefully) get a pour of the remaining anniversary stout, Year 5. This imperial stout with coffee espresso celebrates the brewery’s fifth anniversary this past November. What better way to honor a big milestone than with a burley beer?! This 9% ABV stout is the perfect sipper for warming up on a bitter winter afternoon and pairs great with many of the small bites offered in the taproom.
