This site is a place for me to combine two of my biggest interests together: craft beer and writing.

This is not a place of ratings or reviews, but a place to share information about where to find a quality craft beer experience in the often-overlooked areas of New England. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the type of person to break down each sip of beer with gaudy tasting notes and flavor profiles. I simply know if I like a beer and I know if I don’t and understand that different people enjoy different tastes when it comes to beer just like in every other aspect of life.

Living in Southeastern Massachusetts, this area will be heavily featured as I feel like the breweries in this region can sometimes be overshadowed by the high volume of pretty awesome liquid being brewed all across the Bay State. And since it’s just a short trip down the interstate, I’ll be looking at some big things happening in the small state of Rhode Island from time to time.

My overall goal for Bearded & Brewed is to share information with others. It comes with several years of writing for a local news organization and I plan to provide an experience that stands out among other beer blogs.

This isn’t to say there aren’t other quality beer blogs and websites out there. In fact, there are dozens of sites I check out weekly, if not daily. Not to mention great social media accounts sharing their own content across multiple platforms. I’ve come to meet and know many of these fine people and I encourage you to check them out from time to time.
