“Rhode Island’s largest brewpub” is closing its doors at the end of the year, according to a Facebook post shared Wednesday afternoon.

“We thank you all for your patronage and support,” the post said of customers.

Revival Brewing Co., located downstairs at the 505 Atwood Ave. location, will remain open, according to the post. Revival brewed Brutopia’s in-house beers and its own beers were also served in the restaurant.

Revival founder and head brewer Sean Larkin confirmed normal operations will continue once Brutopia shutters its doors on New Year’s Eve.

“We ain’t going anywhere,” Larkin said. “That’s all I can say.”

The restaurant’s owner Umberto Sorbo currently lives in Miami and said it’s been difficult to manage business operations from afar, according to WPRI.

The restaurant’s 15-20 employees will be laid off as of Jan. 1, 2019.
